Baptist Health – UAMS GME hosted the 5th annual Research and Innovation Symposium on Wednesday, May 21st, in the GME building on the Baptist Health North Little Rock campus. Open to all members of the Baptist Health system, the symposium provided a space for residents and faculty to share and discuss scholarly activity, and encourage collaboration across the system.
This year’s symposium displayed 38 research posters, presented by GME residents and faculty. The assembling of these presentations would not have been possible without the help and guidance of our Director of Educational Research, Dr. Thomas Lowder, many residents working with him throughout the academic year to prepare their research. A special thank you to Dr. Lowder for all of his hard work and dedication to making this event what it is.
Over 60 guests attended the Research and Innovation Symposium, experiencing a myriad of educational discussion and presentation. Attendants were able to enjoy refreshments and snacks while listening to this year’s keynote speaker, Baptist Health North Little Rock’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Stan Kellar. We look forward to seeing everyone again at next year’s Research and Innovation Symposium, on May 20th, 2026!
