The Baptist Health-UAMS GME team celebrated Dr. Stan Kellar on Wednesday, November 6th, as he steps down from his position as Designated Institutional Official. Staff and fellow physicians gathered at Baptist Health North Little Rock to recognize his dedication to making the residency program at Baptist Health what it is today.
Dr. Stan Kellar has served as the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) for the Baptist Health-UAMS Medical Education Program since its inception in 2016. He has played a pivotal role in the growth and success of the program over the last 8 years. GME team members speak fondly on their time working with Dr. Kellar in this program, with Baptist Health North Little Rock President, Cody Walker, recounting all of his positive experiences with him over the years at the informal celebration. Joined by his wife, Donna, Dr. Kellar expressed gratitude to his colleagues and team members, recognizing the hard work the entirety of the GME staff have put in to assist in developing the residency program at Baptist Health. The GME staff honored Dr. Kellar with a heartfelt gift, including his original DIO nameplate to remember his time with the Graduate Medical Education program.
Dr. Kellar will continue to serve as Chief Medical Officer for Baptist Health North Little Rock, and serve his community as a pulmonary and sleep physician at Baptist Health.
