Dr. Gibson grew up as an “Air Force brat” and prior to settling in Little Rock, Arkansas in 2009 when she moved to work at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare Center in North Little Rock. Prior to becoming board certified and completing her Psychiatry residency at the University of Mississippi Medical School, she was board certified and practiced in Anesthesiology and Addiction Medicine. She has also completed training in Medical Acupuncture and Functional Medicine. Dr. Gibson is now an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), and Core Faculty for the Baptist Health-UAMS Psychiatry Residency Program. Her passion and expertise is in Behavioral Health Integration, allowing her work to extend with the Family Medicine program. Although she still has family in Mississippi, she enjoys living and being outdoors in the “Natural State” of Arkansas with her husband Tommy and their 2 dogs, Simon and Spida Munky.
